Meet Maressa - The WarriorYou may remember Maressa from a photo session we did on the beach a few summers ago. She is a stunning, strong young lady, and now a cancer survivor. In October 2013 she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma at age 24. She moved back to New York to be close to family, and upon returning to Charleston and shaving her head- I knew I wanted to do a session with her that showed her strength and resilience. Maressa has a fighting spirit that I wanted to capture and honor. She was totally game for another beach session with a decidedly different tone, and she clearly rocked it.
